Rumour Roundup: LG G5

LG makes impressive phones, but they have always been overshadowed by Samsung. For the past couple of years, LG released their flagships around May or June to avoid direct competition with the Galaxy line. This year, LG is going head-on with Samsung with their “Play Begins”, and will release the LG G5 on February 21, the same day Samsung Unpacked event will launch the Galaxy S7.

Rumour Roundup: Samsung Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S6 pumped a lot of new new blood into the Galaxy S line and created a lot of discussion about Samsung’s ability as phone maker. After many generations of smartphones, Samsung finally seemed to get the design right, paired with excellent hardware on many fronts, but was also criticized for some design choices. Nonetheless, 2016 is another chapter for Samsung’s mobile department and all eyes will be on the Galaxy S7.

Rumour Roundup: Apple Watch

Apple has an event today called “Spring Forward”, and is expected to reveal the final details regarding the Apple Watch. The watch was first shown off at last year’s iPhone event in September as Apple’s famous “one more thing”, and ever since then everyone has been curious at the full funcitonality and potential the watch will have.

Rumour Roundup: Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung did not have a great 2014. Its smartphone shipments from significantly, it lost the place of world’s number one smartphone maker, Apple made a massive comeback (from mainly eating Samsung’s sales), and the Galaxy S5 was criticized for looking ugly and having too much bloatware. That’s why Samsung underwent what they called “Project Zero”, to build the next Galaxy flagship from the ground up and using better materials, namely aluminum and metal. Rumours also had it that after a surprising revealing of the Galaxy Note Edge last year, the Galaxy S6 was to come with an Edge variant also. It wasn’t until very recently that we have been seeing leaks in regards to both these devices. Although the leaks aren’t as complete as the ones for the HTC One M9, we already have a pretty good idea on specs and design.

Rumour Roundup: HTC One M9

Complete specs of HTC’s newest flagship started to flow through the Internet since December of last year.  Back then, there was a debate on whether the device would be released at CES 2015. Instead of a high end flagship, HTC unveiled its newest mid-range flagship, the highly praised Desire 826. Shortly after, HTC sent out its “Utopia in Progress” invites for a March 1 event, confirming a release on that date. Since then, more leaks regarding complete specs, benchmark scores, many iterations of the final design, and even promotional material had been leaked, leaving nothing to the imagination.
