LG G6

One of the most-anticipated phones at MWC is the LG G6, and it was officially announced this past weekend. Truth be told, LG G5 sales were disappointing due to cheap build quality, average overall performance, and a terrible approach to modular smartphones. A new design is now in place in hopes of regaining confidence in the LG G line of flagship smartphones. This time around, LG isn’t slapping on too many gimmicky features and is saying that they have listened to what users want in a smartphone.

MWC 2017 Press Events Roundup

Mobile World Congress 2017 is dawning upon us, and by tradition, companies are expected to announce their flagship phones for this year, as well as phones in other price ranges. This year, we are expecting phones housing near bezel-less displays with big scree-to-body ratios, dual camera setups, and phones that are expected to make a comeback. Starting form today and all the way leading up to the start of the event, there are a couple press events we are looking forward to, so let’s dive in to each one and see what we are expecting.

LG G5

Mobile World Congress is upon us, and many phone have been released and announced already at the event, but on February 21, just one day before the official start of MWC, LG announced the highly anticipated LG G5. Seeing how LG has announced previous flagships around summer time, an MWC launch does seem to be a bit early, as the G4 was only launched eight months ago. Many are quick to point out that LG wants to be in direct competition with Samsung, and does not want their Korean rival to take the spotlight and sales away. Rumour Roundup: LG G5

LG makes impressive phones, but they have always been overshadowed by Samsung. For the past couple of years, LG released their flagships around May or June to avoid direct competition with the Galaxy line. This year, LG is going head-on with Samsung with their “Play Begins”, and will release the LG G5 on February 21, the same day Samsung Unpacked event will launch the Galaxy S7.
